On the afternoon of April 1, 2026, the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages held a meeting of Party branch secretaries in the Party Member Activity Room 303. The meeting focused on advancing study of establishing and practicing a correct view of political performance and on deploying key tasks for Party building in the near future. Li Tao, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, presided over the meeting. Tang Huijun, Full-time Organization Officer, together with secretaries of all faculty and student Party branches, attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, all participants engaged in a collective study session on important remarks by the General Secretary on the correct view of political performance, gaining a deeper understanding of its core principles and practical requirements. Participants expressed that they would take this opportunity to further strengthen theoretical study, promote reflection and action through learning, and effectively translate learning outcomes into concrete measures to advance the School’s development, thereby consolidating the ideological foundation for high-quality development.
The meeting then conveyed the guiding principles of Central South University’s 2026 Conference on Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance and the Conference on Improving Cadres’ Conduct and Capacity. It emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of relevant meetings of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Education, further strengthen political responsibility and sense of mission, and continuously enhance the political and organizational functions of the Party Committee. Efforts should be made to give full play to the role of Party branches as strongholds of combat effectiveness and to the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members. In addition, improving cadres’ conduct and capacity should be taken as a key focus, with strict implementation of the University’s action plan, sustained efforts in line with overall goals and basic principles, and continuous improvement in cadres’ performance capability and work efficiency.
Li Tao made specific arrangements for the School’s study of establishing and practicing a correct view of political performance, and organized all participants to study Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Discourses on Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Political Performance. He emphasized that all Party branches should strictly follow the requirements and timeline set out in the School’s implementation plan, advance all related tasks in an orderly manner, and complete the review and self-assessment of relevant work. Regular study and discussion should be carried out through organizational activities such as the “Three Meetings and One Lecture” and themed Party Day activities, so as to ensure solid and effective progress of the study and education. At the same time, it is essential to integrate learning with application and unify knowledge with action, closely aligning the study and education with the School’s central tasks. Priority should be given to advancing key initiatives, including the formulation and implementation of the School’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the application for a postdoctoral research station, while continuously promoting the implementation of rectification tasks identified in internal inspections and addressing issues identified in this round of study and education, so as to ensure coordinated and orderly progress of all work.
Tang Huijun provided a detailed breakdown of key organizational tasks for April 2026. She emphasized the need to strictly implement the required hours for Party member education and training, to carry out training programs for activists applying for Party membership and prospective Party members in an orderly manner, to actively support the assessment of the School’s leadership team, and to ensure accurate and timely data entry for applicants for Party membership and activists in the CPC’s internal statistical information system.
In his concluding remarks, Li Tao stressed that Party branch secretaries should further enhance their political awareness and sense of responsibility, and ensure the effective implementation of the meeting’s requirements. He called for adherence to both problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, sound planning of annual Party building tasks, and continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of Party building work. He further emphasized that high-quality Party building should lead the high-quality development of the School, continuously strengthen the foundation of grassroots Party organizations, and provide strong organizational support for the University’s overall development.
