Foreign Languages and Translation is a quarterly journal supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, hosted by Central South University, and edited and published by the Editorial Office of Foreign Languages and Translation. Its domestic unified serial number is CN 43-1527/H, and its international standard serial number is ISSN 2095-9648. The domestic postal distribution code is 42-125. It has been indexed in the 2022 edition of the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (A-Class Journal).
Aims and Scope:
The journal adheres to correct journalistic guidance and publication direction. It explores theories of foreign language and translation, keeps abreast of frontiers in foreign language education and micro-level teaching methodology, and reflects new trends in foreign literary theory, thoughts, and creative writing. It serves as a platform for academic exchange among foreign language educators, researchers, and learners.

Journal readers are foreign language researchers and educators, with a primary focus on English while also researching other foreign languages and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, thereby promoting scholarly dialogue across different languages. Foreign Languages and Translation is committed to advancing as a high-level, high-standard, high-quality academic journal.
We look forward to the interest and support of all our readers and contributors. Scholars and teachers in the field of foreign languages are warmly invited to submit their papers. Submissions are subject to the following guidelines:
1. We welcome articles on foreign languages, translation, foreign language education, literary studies, and cultural studies. Preference is given to original works presenting unique and insightful perspectives. In principle, book reviews, interviews, or review essays are not accepted. Submissions should generally be around 8,000 characters in length, and longer articles should not exceed 12,000 characters.
2. Please submit your articles directly to the editorial office email: wyfy09@126.com. It should include the English title, English abstract, English keywords, author’s name, highest degree, academic title, workplace, mailing address, postal code, telephone number, and email address. For formatting requirements, please refer to the attachment to this notice.
3. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process. If you do not receive revision suggestions or an acceptance notice within three months, you are free to submit the manuscript elsewhere; The editorial office reserves the right to make appropriate editorial changes to accepted manuscripts. If you do not wish to have changes made, please indicate so in a separate note.
4. No fees are charged for manuscripts accepted for publication. Contributors will receive two copies of the issue in which their article appears.
